Your i2Iso 22301:2012 business continuity management system (BCMS) encompasses planning and preparation to ensure that your organisation can continue to operate in case of serious incidents or disasters and is able to recover to an operational state within a reasonably short period. As such, your i2ISO business continuity plan includes three key elements:
- Resilience as your critical business functions and supporting infrastructure are designed to be materially unaffected by relevant disruptions.
- Recovery arrangements are made to recover or restore critical business functions that fail.
- Contingency established as a generalised capability and readiness to cope effectively when major incidents and disasters occur.
